Scan Aqua – producer and exporter of sea urchin roe

Scan Aqua AS is a business based on producing and selling sea urchin roe, a highly sought after and valuable product in the international sushi market.

The production is based on catching mature wild sea urchins and enhancing the quantity and the quality of the roe by feeding them a suitable diet for 2-3 months, thus increasing the roe content of each sea urchin from some 5 % of live weight to 15 - 25 %.
